It is a document that gives another person the authority to act on your behalf when you are unable or unwilling to make a business or personal decision for yourself. 

Everyone over the age of eighteen should have a Power of Attorney.

Enduring Power of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney covers health and/or financial matters. If you are no longer able to manage your own matters the person or persons, you assign will do it for you.

Things to consider/include:

  • Pick someone you trust to be appointed as your Attorney
  • Whether that person is capable of carrying out the duties required
  • Whether that person is willing to be your Attorney
  • Limitations you wish to place on the Attorney
